Per Mertesacker: 'Arsenal were lucky'
Per Mertesacker has admitted that Arsenal were lucky to come away with a win in their Premier League match against Crystal Palace this weekend. The Gunners were 2-0 up at Selhurst Park when Glenn Murray pulled a goal back for the hosts before coming close to an equaliser in stoppage time. The defender told the club's website: "At the end they tried to put us some pressure and get some strikers on. "They nearly scored the equaliser so we were a bit lucky at the end. Overall, we are absolutely delighted with the three points and we move on. "They have pace up front and good headers of the ball too.
