Arteta reveals injury frustration
Mikel Arteta says he did his best to be a positive influence last season despite huge frustration at the time he spent sidelined by injury. Arsenal's club captain broke down with an ankle injury in November last year and eventually required surgery that kept him out for the rest of the season. So serious was the problem that the Spaniard recently admitted he delayed signing his contract extension at the Emirates until he was sure he could deliver performances at the required level.
