‘It's not the only way': Arsenal boss explains why he didn't sign a single outfield player

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has explained why he didn't sign a single outfield player in the last transfer window, reports the Daily Star. The Gunners's only arrival this summer was Petr Cech from Chelsea, and they are the only team in Europe's top five leagues to have not brought in a player who isn't a goalkeeper. Fans have been very critical of this, especially after Real Madrid ace Karim Benzema was heavily linked to the Emirates Stadium. However, Wenger has now taken the time to explain himself.
