Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin is statistically the best defensive midfielder in the Premier League, according to reports in the Metro. The 24-year old destroyer impressed during his side’s 2-0 victory over Stoke City yesterday, with the Frenchman now leading the way in terms of tackles made at this stage of the season. Since coming into first team contention at the turn of the year, following a loan to League One side Charlton Athletic, manager Arsene Wenger has deployed him as a holding midfielder.
