LVG Happy Not To Have Followed Pathway Of Ferguson, Wenger

It has been reported that Louis van Gaal believes the challenges he has encountered while managing a variety of different football clubs around the glob have held him in good stead for his current role as Manchester United boss. United is van Gaal's fifth managerial role at club level, having previously coached Ajax, Barcelona, AZ Alkmaar and Bayern Munich as well as two stints as manager of the Dutch national team. Van Gaal's background is different to the likes of former United boss Sir Alex Ferguson and current Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, who spent 26 and 19 years in their respective roles.
