Arsenal boss had no idea Man Utd star was available

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed Monaco told him that star forward Anthony Martial was not for sale, according to the Daily Mail. The 19-year old moved to Manchester United in a stunning £36.6m deal, potentially rising to around £58m if certain criteria are met. The deal made him the most expensive teenager in world football, and has gone on to score four goals in his opening five appearances. He had been linked with Arsenal previously, after helping the Ligue 1 side eliminate the Gunners from last year’s Champions League.
