Arsenal chasing Celtic star to boost midfield
Arsenal are scouting Celtic midfielder Nir Bitton with a view to making a January move, according to reports in the Metro. The Gunners are said to be looking at bolstering their defensive midfield options, after opting against signing one in the summer months. Reports suggest manager Arsene Wenger sent scouts to watch the Israeli international as the Scottish side drew 2-2 with Turkish titans Fenerbahce in the recent Europa League clash. The 23-year old served in the Israeli Defense Forces prior to his footballing career, and has been in Glasgow for two years since signing from FC Ashdod in his homeland.
