Olivier Giroud hails Petr Cech after Bayern Munich victory
Olivier Giroud has praised the performance of Petr Cech following Arsenal's 2-0 victory over Bayern Munich in the Champions League. Cech produced a number of saves from Thiago Alacantara, Robert Lewandowski and Douglas Costa throughout the tie before late goals from Giroud and Mesut Ozil gave the Gunners their first Group F points. While also heaping praise on Cech, substitute Giroud applauded his side's defensive performance across the 90 minutes. "We did well until the goal and defended really well," Giroud told BT Sport after the final whistle.
