Arsenal make last ditch plans to sign winger from under Barcelona's nose

Arsenal are believed to be weighing up a last-ditch effort to sign Paris Saint Germain winger Ezequiel Lavezzi, according to the Metro. The Metro claims that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is looking to add to his squad in the new year and has been alerted to the Argentine international's availability. Lavezzi has now entered the final year of his contract in the French capital, with the Metro reporting that the Ligue 1 giants could well be prepared to let him leave for a cut price fee when the transfer window opens.
