Sheffield Wed 3-0 Arsenal: Insults and injuries
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott were both hamstrung as Arsenal's second string got battered. Oxlade-Chamberlain lasted less than five minutes before being substituted, with replacement Walcott joining him in the treatment room in the 19th minute. That injury forced Ismael Bennacer off the bench to join his fellow U-21 players Alex Iwobi and Glen Kamara on the pitch. Championship side Wednesday were 2-0 up by half-time, with Ross Wallace scoring one and then setting up Lucas Joao. They added a third to seal a place in the Capital One Cup quarter-finals when Sam Hutchinson bundled home as the Arsenal defence went missing again. More to follow
