Key Arsenal star admits contract talks are ongoing & claims he's desperate to stay
Nacho Monreal is arguably one of the most improved Arsenal players in the squad, so it's great to hear that not only are talks ongoing regarding a new contract, but he's also desperate to get a deal done, as reported by the Metro. There were questions over the Spaniard's suitability for the Premier League when he first arrived, and for a long, long time Kieran Gibbs was our undisputed first choice. Monreal has come on leaps and bounds since his arrival though, and is now one of our most reliable players. He may be getting on in years, but it's hugely important that we keep him at the club for a while to come. The left-back clearly wants to stay too, so it seems only a matter of time before...
