Guardiola almost added Pep to Arsenal's midfield
Arsene Wenger has spoken about how close Pep Guardiola came to playing for Arsenal. As his time at Barcelona came to an end, he met with Wenger to discuss a move to North London, 'He wanted to play with me as a coach and he wanted to play for Arsenal,' the manager said today. 'I met him at home – he was 30 or 31-years-old back then. I can’t really remember but he then went to Italy. I had players back then like Vieira and Petit who were still young.
