Arsenal Lacked Courage In Munich – Per Mertesacker
It has been revealed that Arsenal defender Per Mertesacker says they lacked courage for defeat at Champions League opponents Bayern Munich. The Gunners' hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages now hang by a thread and Mertesacker said he and his team-mates had let themselves down. 'They scored too early for us and then they got in their rhythm,' he said. 'We played without courage today. 'They were absolutely amazing. At home (when Arsenal won 2-0 against Bayern) we had much more courage, we played with more bravery. They were brilliant. We have to analyse quickly and get players back quickly'
