Man United to steal march on Arsenal for Italian defender
Manchester United are looking to steal a march on Arsenal in the race to sign Juventus defender Daniele Rugani, report the Metro. The Italian has been linked with a move to North London after failing to truly impose himself on first-team proceedings with the Old Lady, though the Red Devils are said to be keen to step up attempts to land him. He was a mainstay at Empoli last year, impressing Juve enough to sign him outright after previously owning half his playing rights. However, he has only appeared in two minutes of competitive action this season behind the likes of Giorgio Chiellini, Andrea Barzagli and Leonardo Bonucci in the pecking order.
