Podolski omitted from Inters Europa squad
Lukas Podolski has been omitted from Inter's squad for the knockout stages of the UEFA Europa League, with coach Roberto Mancini opting to include Xherdan Shaqiri instead.Both players arrived at San Siro during the January transfer window - Podolski on loan from Arsenal and Shaqiri on a permanent deal from Bayern Munich.
UEFA regulations state: "For all matches from the start of the round of 32, a club may register a maximum of three new eligible players for the remaining matches in the current competition."
