Wenger's three man January shortlist to replace Coquelin includes German duo
Arsene Wenger is apparently planning to bring in reinforcements in midfield this January, and has identified three players who would be perfect replacements for the injured Francis Coquelin, as reported by the Daily Mail. Nobody could understand why the Frenchman refused (or was unable) to bring defensive midfield cover to the Emirates over the summer, and we were all left with hearts in mouths every time Coquelin went down. His combative and aggressive style of play meant it was only a matter of time before the 24-year-old succumbed to injury, and he's now set to be sidelined for quite some time.
