FC Basel's Mohamed Elneny Passes Arsenal Medical
It has been reported that Arsenal are on the verge of completing the signing of FC Basel midfielder Mohamed Elneny after the Egyptian international passed a medical with the Premier League club on Thursday. The Guardian claims that Elneny could be officially unveiled as an Arsenal player before the end of the week, provided he is able to obtain a work permit. It is understood gunners boss Arsene Wenger sees Elneny as a player who can add depth to his midfield, which is currently without injured stars Santi Cazorla, Mikel Arteta, Francis Coquelin and Jack Wilshere. Arsenal are believed to be willing to pay around £7million for the 23-year-old.
