Carragher: Ozil needs medals to match Bergkamp
Jamie Carragher has dismissed comparisons between Mesut Ozil and Dennis Bergkamp, arguing the former needs medals to build his case. Mesut Ozil might be winning comparisons to Arsenal great Dennis Bergkamp on current form, but former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher believes the Germany international lacks one thing - a Premier League medal. Writing in his weekly Daily Mail column, Carragher said Ozil's numbers were impressive, but without medals to show for them it would be hard to justify comparisons with Bergkamp.
