Southampton tracking La Liga star as replacement for Arsenal target
Southampton are keeping an eye on Atletico Madrid star Thomas Partey as a possible replacement for Arsenal target Victor Wanyama, Mirror reports. The 22-year-old has caught the eye of a host of clubs recently, with Premier League outfits Watford previously seeing a £6.5million bid rejected. Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has been keen to add Wanyama into his ranks ever since the summer, but the Kenya international was denied an exit. He only has 18 months left on his current deal at St Mary’s Stadium as manager Ronald Koeman could be forced to cash in on his services to avoid letting him leave for free.
