Wenger says fringe man can be Arsenal star
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has stated that David Ospina can still be the club’s number one goalkeeper, despite the presence of Petr Cech in North London. The Colombian was given a chance to play at the start of last year and put in solid showings as the Gunners finished last season strongly. Ospina is an able stopper but the arrival of Cech has seen the South American demoted to the bench and not given a chance to play for the Gunners. The former Nice man is set to get a chance int he FA Cup this weekend, but Wenger has not ruled out Ospina winning his place back in the starting line-up for a prolonged period.
