Arsenal Battling UK Work Permit Regulations For Mohamed Elneny
It has been reported that Arsenal are battling UK work permit regulations to get a deal for FC Basel midfielder Mohamed Elneny over the line. Elneny, 23, has agreed a four-and-a-half year deal and passed a medical with the Gunners. But he failed to meet work permit regulations due to Egypt falling out of the top 50 in FIFA's rankings. The Daily Star says the Gunners lodged an appeal which was successful but finalising the work permit is taking longer than expected. The move will be completed well before the end of the month.
