Wenger all but confirms deal for popular Spanish star
There have been strong rumours of a new deal for Arsenal left-back Nacho Monreal, and Arsene Wenger has all but confirmed the rumours with his recent comments, as reported by the Evening Standard. Monreal has been one of the most improved Arsenal players over the last couple of seasons, and has gone from strength to strength ever since his arrival at the Emirates. He looked out of his depth somewhat when he first made the switch to north London, but has not only settled and improved greatly since then, but has unquestionably displaced Kieran Gibbs as our starting full-back.
