Arsenal's Mesut Ozil named as German National Team Player of 2015
Mesut Ozil has kicked off the year in spectacular style by scooping the German National Team Player of the Year award for 2015. A report on the German national football team website has revealed that more than 51,000 fans voted in the poll, in which Ozil swept to victory with a massive 45.9 percent of the vote. Bayern Munich forward Thomas Muller came second, but fell way behind with only 15.9% of the vote, while there was a shock in third place as Cologne left-back Jonas Hector followed behind with 13.6%.
