Wenger Confident Per Mertesacker Can Handle Leicester's Vardy
It has been revealed that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists Per Mertesacker can handle Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy. Wenger chose to keep his cards close to his chest when questioned on whether he will play Mertesacker, who has not featured since he sent off against Chelsea and could be vulnerable to the pace of Vardy. 'It's difficult to go into individual assessments. Per is a great leader and very respected in our dressing room. 'But I have three centre-backs and I adapt on form and on the strengths of our opponents,' he said.
