Mathieu Debuchy: 'Arsene Wenger blocked loan move to Manchester United'
Mathieu Debuchy has revealed that Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger prevented him from joining Manchester United on loan in January. Two weeks ago the full-back signed for Bordeaux on a loan deal until the end of the season, but he has confirmed that United made a late approach. Debuchy, who struggled for game time at the Emirates due to Hector Bellerin's form, has admitted that he was "disappointed" not to have had the chance to join United. "Yes, at the end of the transfer window [United] came in," Debuchy told Canal +."They contacted my agents. I was disappointed, obviously. If I had the chance to go to Manchester United it would have been magnificent....
