Wenger confirms Akpom contract extension
Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Chuba Akpom has signed a new deal at Arsenal that is set to keep him at the club until 2020. The England youth international, 19, is currently under contract until the summer and has been free to sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign suitors since the start of the year. It's believed that the likes of FC Twente, Feyenoord and Borussia Dortmund all showed interest, while Liverpool are also believed to have made tentative contact.
