Report: FA make last-ditch Alex Iwobi England bid
The Football Association has reportedly made a last-gasp bid to persuade Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi to commit his international future to England. The 19-year-old, who has broke into the Gunners' first-team picture in recent months, has played two friendlies for the country of his birth, Nigeria, but will not be fully committed to the Super Eagles until he turns out in a competitive fixture. According to The Mirror, the FA want to recapture Iwobi's services after the forward turned out for England at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-18 level. He is in line to make his competitive debut for Nigeria this week having been named in the senior squad for an upcoming Africa Cup of Nations...
