Matt Macey signs Arsenal contract extension

Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Macey has signed a contract extension with the club that will keep him at the Emirates Stadium until 2018. The 21-year-old has been named in Arsenal's matchday squad 15 times this season as back-up to Petr Cech and David Ospina, but is yet to make a senior first-team appearance. The Gunners signed the youngster from Bristol Rovers in 2013, and he has since spent time out on loan at Accrington Stanley. His main action at Arsenal has come with the Under-21 side, though, making nine appearances and keeping three clean sheets for the club's youth team.
