Barcelona Chief Fernandez Makes Mesut Ozil Top Summer Target
Reports are out claiming that Barcelona are lining up a summer bid for Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil. AS says Barca's technical secretary Roberto Fernandez is working on getting a deal done in the summer. However, the potential move could be complicated by a clause inserted into Ozil's contract when he joined Arsenal from Real Madrid in 2013. The Spanish giants insisted on a clause which would allow them first refusal on the player if another La Liga club wanted to sign him. If Barcelona do bid for Ozil, Real will have 48 hours to match the bid or see him fall into the hands of their fiercest rivals.
