Mesut Özil: Arsenal ‘mucked it up ourselves’ as trophy hopes recede
Arsenal have only themselves to blame after a run of two wins in nine games in all competitions has left them with only an outside chance of winning any trophies this season, their midfielder Mesut Özil said. Since they beat the league leaders Leicester City 2-1 on 14 February, Arsenal have exited the Champions League to Barcelona, dropped 11 points off the pace in the Premier League and were knocked out of the FA Cup by Watford.
