Wenger issues update on Ozil, Sanchez contracts
Arsene Wenger believes Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez are 'happy' at Arsenal, and will renew their contracts with the club. Ozil has been Arsenal's best player of the season, assisting 427 goals in the club's failed attempts in the Champions League, FA Cup and Capital One Cup. The Gunners sit third in the Premier League table behind Leicester and Tottenham, and still harbour slight hopes of winning their first title since 2004. It had been reported that Ozil, who joined for a club-record fee of £42million from Real Marid in summer 2013, would leave Arsenal if Wenger remained manager, but the German subsequently rubbished such claims.
