Sari van Veenendaal signs new contract
Sari van Veenendaal has signed a new contract with Arsenal Ladies. The Netherlands goalkeeper has impressed since joining Arsenal in July 2015, helping the Gunners lift the Continental Cup with a clean sheet in last season’s final against Notts County. Van Veenendaal also celebrated her birthday in style on Sunday, saving three penalties as Arsenal reached the FA Women’s Cup semi-finals with a shoot—out win over the Lady Magpies. Pedro Martinez Losa said: “We are delighted that Sari has chosen to extend her time with us.
