Racist tweet aimed at Welbeck
The former Manchester United striker scored the decisive goal in a 2-1 win that sent Arsenal through to the last four of the FA Cup. Cup holders Arsenal will now play either Reading or Bradford in next month's semi-final at Wembley. A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police confirmed the tweet was 'extremely offensive containing several racist terms'. Welbeck is a product of Manchester United's academy and made a £16m move to Arsenal on the final day of last summer's transfer window. The 24-year-old England international has scored eight goals in 30 appearances for Arsenal this season.
