Arsene Wenger praises 'sharp' display from Olivier Giroud
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has praised the performance of Olivier Giroud after the Gunners earned a 2-2 draw away at Manchester City on Sunday afternoon. Giroud had not found the back of the net in the Premier League since the middle of January before he headed in Arsenal's first equaliser in a high-quality clash at the Etihad Stadium. The forward has come in for criticism from the club's supporters in recent weeks but Wenger feels that Giroud was back to his best as Arsenal closed the gap on second-place Tottenham Hotspur to two points. The Frenchman told Sky Sports News: "He had a great game, his best for a while. He was sharp and focused, we have seen the real Olivier Giroud....
