Arsenal Prepared To Make Mesut Ozil Best Paid In History
It has been revealed that Arsenal are ready to make Mesut Ozil the highest paid player in their history. The Mirror claims that the German international is poised to become Arsenal's first £200,000-a-week player. Boss Arsene Wenger is more confident than ever that the in-form Germany playmaker will sign a new long contract this summer. The Gunners' top earner, 27, is expected to see his £140k-a-week deal surge by £60k once add-ons and bonuses are included. But his pay would still be eclipsed by Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney's weekly wage packet of £300k.
