The Arsenal striker had already gone close with two headers and a left-foot shot when he soared to beat goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu to Dimitri Payet's cross in the 57th minute. Bogdan Stancu levelled from the penalty spot but Payet had the final word, arrowing a shot into the top corner to delight the Stade de France crowd.
