Recent reports have suggested the Gunners will pluck the 29-year-old striker from the Foxes’ grasp. A lucrative £120,000-a-week contract is thought to be on the table. It was even believed a medical had been booked for the England international, whose £20million buy-out clause had been triggered. Vardy’s team-mate Riyad Mahrez has also been discussed as a mooted Arsenal target after his excellent season for the champions.
