Arsenal launch bid for Barcelona star but face competition
GETTY IN DEMAND: Bids have been lodged for Arda Turan Spanish outlet Don Balon say that the Gunners have acted on their interest in the Turkey star. Barcelona are prepared to sell the midfielder after a poor first 12 months at the Nou Camp. Borussia Dortmund and Galatasaray are providing still competition for Arsene Wenger however. Don Balon say that the Turkish side's £17.1m bid is the best submitted so far.
