Confirmed deal: Newcastle announce exciting transfer deal with Arsenal
Newcastle United have signed Arsenal youngster Isaac Hayden, according to their official club website. The 21-year-old can operate as a centre-back or a defensive midfielder and joined the Gunners' academy from Southend United back in 2008. But the England U20, who has represented his country 19 times at youth level, made just two first-team appearances for the north London outfit – Capital One Cup outings in consecutive seasons.
