Arsenal to make shock £15m bid for West Brom star
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is set to make a surprise £15 million move for West Brom defender Jonny Evans this summer, according to The Mirror. The Gunners are facing a defensive crisis following Per Mertesacker’s injury and currently do not have any senior centre-halves available. As a result, the North London side are expected to bring an experienced central defender to the club, with the Emirates Stadium faithful hopeful it will be before the start of the 2016-17 campaign next month.
