Arsene Wenger: 'Arsenal have a strong squad'
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that he has a "strong" squad at his disposal ahead of the new Premier League season. The Gunners have made just one major signing this summer, bringing Granit Xhaka to the club, and find themselves particularly short in defence following injuries to Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista. However, further forward, Alex Iwobi has impressed with three goals in pre-season, but Wenger warned that the youngster was not guaranteed a place in the team.
