Gabriel set for ‘6-8 weeks' on sideline with ankle sprain
Arsenal are set to be without Gabriel for at least the first six weeks of the season according to BBC reporter David Ornstein. The Brazilian sustained a nasty ankle injury in the Gunners 3-2 friendly win over Manchester City in Sweden on Sunday, with initial comments from Wenger suggesting there is a likelihood the defender could be out for an extended period of time. It appears the news isn't as terrible as first feared but still a major concern considering Arsenal enter the Premier League with no fit senior defenders.
