Arsenal ready to spend £30m on poor man's Olivier Giroud

Arsenal are set to make a £30 million bid for Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony according to the Daily Star. Per the source, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has given the green light to go ahead with making a bid for the Ivory Coast international. The powerful striker was left out of the squad when Manchester City lost 3-2 against Arsenal on Sunday in a pre-season friendly in Gothenburg, Sweden. Bony registered a remarkable 31 goals in 30 appearances in his final Eredivisie season with Vitesse Arnhem, before hitting 17 in his first EPL season in South Wales.
