Arsene Wenger compares Arsenal star to club legend Dennis Bergkamp
Talks are ongoing over a new contract with Ozil, 28, who still has 20 months of his deal to run but is looking to increase his £140,000-a-week salary to reflect his recent contribution to the side. He took his tally of career assists to 200 in the Champions League win against Ludogorets on Tuesday but more importantly, his sublime late goal took his total to seven for the campaign – just one shy of his haul in the whole of last season.
