Transfer News: Man United exclusive, Arsenal’s concern, Chelsea deal, Liverpool offer
Manchester United are ready to splash £45million on two defenders to bolster their bid to secure Champions League football next season. Moves for Benfica’s Victor Lindelof and Southampton star Jose Fonte, who handed in a transfer request, have been mooted. Jose Mourinho is happy with the makeshift pairing of Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo, however will have to cope without Eric Bailly who is off to the Africa Cup of Nations. But Express Sport understands United are hoping to complete a £38m deal for Lindelof.
