Charlie Nicholas: Arsenal should have sold these players in January
GETTY Charlie Nicholas says Arsenal should have sold Carl Jenkinson and Mathieu Debuchy Jenkinson was heavily linked with a move to Crystal Palace during the transfer window but a deal fell through over his wage demands. Debuchy has played just the once this season for Arsenal after a succession of injury problems and is well down the pecking order at the Emirates. Nicholas says the money they could have got for the defensive duo would have freed up funds for Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez’s new contracts.
