Arsenal Ladies star makes surprise visit
New Arsenal Ladies signing Beth Mead was at Market Road in Islington on Tuesday to cheer on girls taking part in our Premier League schools tournament.Schools from across north London and Hertfordshire took part in the U13 competition, organised by Arsenal in the Community.Last year’s champions St Albans Girls’ school defended their title with a close fought 1-0 win over Stoke Newington school. They will represent Arsenal in the national finals of the tournament at Chelsea’s Stamford Bridge in May.Beth, who recently joined the Gunners from Sunderland, was on hand to congratulate the teams and hand out medals after the final."It’s fantastic to see so many girls...
