We kept the pressure on those above us on Saturday afternoon with a resounding 4-1 victory over Stoke City. Olivier Giroud opened the scoring just before the interval, before Mesut Ozil doubled the advantage after some intricate combination play with Alexis. Peter Crouch then flicked in a goal for the hosts, before Alexis shrugged off a knock to burrow towards goal and rifle an effort in off the post.
