Tony Adams was the subject of interest from Manchester United while at Arsenal
Adams wrote himself into club folklore during his decorated spell in north London. His career ground to a halt after the 2003/04 ‘Invincibles’ campaign when he made 10 appearances that season. Sir Alex Ferguson missed out on a number of high-profile signings during his 26 years in charge of club, including former Newcastle and Blackburn striker Alan Shearer.
