Arsenal news: Arsene Wenger should not have been given a new contract, says Jamie Carragher
Arsenal were easily beaten 4-0 by Carragher’s old side Liverpool today, a familiar away performance for the travelling support in recent years. Wenger was under severe pressure at the end of last season, with large sections of the support wanting him to leave at the end of his contract. However, he was awarded a new deal days after the FA Cup final success over Chelsea in May. Fans were vocal in their displeasure towards Wenger today, chanting “we want Wenger out” during the second half at Anfield.
